Shipping Policy

Where & How we Ship

We are happy to ship to Canada and Continental United States. 

Shipments within Canada we use Canada Post Trackable service and Courier services.
Shipments to USA we use USPS and UPS.  (Please see Duty & Customs Fees)

Shipping Rates

Free* Standard Shipping in Canada on orders of $100.00 or more.
*Unfortunately we are unable to offer free shipping to Nunavut, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, but instead offer a discounted rate. 

You can obtain a Shipping Estimate in the Cart once your products are added, by using the Shipping Rates Estimate. (found below the comment boxes). 

Note:  In the event that shipping charges are considerably higher than the rate calculated at checkout, there might be additional charges. If additional shipping charges apply you will be contacted by phone with a quote before we fulfill and ship your order. (Ie: remote areas, over sized or heavy items). We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause. 

Shipping Time

Once you place your order we strive to ship your orders within 2 business* days.  If there are any delays more than 4 business* days we will notify you.
*Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays

Once your order is shipped, we will email you a shipping confirmation email and tracking number. Please allow some time for your tracking status to be available/updated. There is a delay between the time the shipping label is created and the actual time the shipper processes it in their facilities, in most cases the shipper will be processing on the next business day.

Within Canada, shipping takes approximately 2-8 business* days depending on your location and shipping option chosen. Please note: possible longer shipping times, than estimated times, might be incurred due to shipping to remote areas or unexpected delays such as severe weather. Orders shipped to the United States might experience delays due to Customs or by any other regulatory authority.

We do offer a Express Shipping option (shipping via Courier) for shipments, excluding rural areas, within certain areas of Canada.  If you live in a rural area, we would be happy to provide an Express shipping estimate over the phone or by email.

Shipping estimates are based on Business Days (Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays). 

Duty & custom fees to shipments to USA (outside of Canada)

Local taxes, duties and brokerage fees are not included in our prices or shipping costs.  These are the responsibility of the purchaser of the order.  Note: if the order is not shipped to the purchaser these fees are payable by the addressee (Ship to address).

    Shipping Rates Estimate

    On the Cart page you can use the Shipping Rates Estimate calculator to provide a shipping rate estimate for the available options according to your province and order subtotal. This is found near the bottom of the page, below the comment boxes.

    Can I Ship to a different address?

    Yes!  On the Shipping Method page - Enter the shipping details where you would like the order shipped & continue to payment method page.
    On the Payment Method page - in the Billing Address field select "Use a different billing address"  Note:  the "Same as shipping address" will be selected by default.

    Important: The billing address must be the same as the credit cardholders mailing address or the payment will be declined due to AVS (address verification check). Extra security feature to ensure that the payment is being made by the genuine cardholder>

    Note: Orders shipped to USA - the addressee (Ship to address) will be responsible for local taxes, duties and brokerage fees incurred when entering the US Customs.

    Shipping Confirmation Email

    Once your order has been processed and a shipping label/pickup has been created by our shipper you will receive a shipping confirmation email.  

    Order tracking

    The order tracking number you receive in the email from the shipper will contain order tracking information.    Please allow some time for your tracking status to be available/updated. There is a delay between the time the shipping label/pickup from the shipper is created and the actual time the shipper processes it in their facilities.

    For example, if we process your order on Saturday, shipment progress will be shown in the evening of the next business day (ie: Monday).

    In-store Pickup

    This option is not available as a shipping option, but we are happy to give customers the option to pickup their order in our store in Nanaimo during our business hours. Please give us a call to let us know before ordering so we can hold your order for pickup.
    Note:  Your credit card will be "authorized" for shipping charges but shipping charges will be removed/refunded once the order is processed.

    We reserve the right to modify or cancel orders for any reason; you will be notified of any modifications or cancellations.
