Shipping Policy

Shipping Times:
Even though we do our best to ship out your orders quickly, unexpected shipping delays by our shippers such as, pickup,  weather, busy season, customs, etc. Our shippers are not providing delivery guarantees at this time.

on orders $100 & over in Canada *Excluding Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick & oversized items.
For free shipping exempt provinces we offer a discounted shipping rate!

In-store pickup

At our store in Nanaimo

Where we Ship:

Canada and Continental United States

For Rural areas, Towns, Postal Boxes, where there is no door delivery available by the shipper, you will need to pickup your order at the shipper's nearest pickup location.

Billing & Shipping Address are different: Please provide phone numbers for both shipping and billing persons. Please note in some instances we may contact the cardholder to verify proof of identity before shipping.

Freight Forwarding Shippers: Shipping to USA or other countries.

Sorry, we do not ship to any Freight Forwarding Companies or addresses at this time.
We won't be responsible for delayed, missing parcels and damaged goods when using a freight forwarder. This is to protect our customers and apologize for any inconvenience
Orders to freight forwarding addresses will be cancelled.

 

UK, Australia & other countries: 

For orders shipped to countries outside of North America we recommend to use the same billing & shipping address. If the billing address does not match the shipping address, you will be required to email us proof of identity before shipping.

We currently ship to: Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, UK.

We only ship Tracked package with Canada Post.  Canada Post restricts this service to select destinations and the package must be under 2kg.  
If your package does not meet these requirements, you will be contacted to arrange a different shipping method and additional charges.

Shipping Rates

Orders $100.00 and over:

  • FREE* Standard Shipping in Canada on orders of $100.00 or more.
    *Excluding to Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick and oversized items.  Unfortunately we are unable to offer free shipping, but instead offer a discounted rate on orders over $100.00
  • Shipping to Continental USA on orders of $100.00 or more we have discounted the shipping, so you will pay less than orders under $100.00!
Orders under $100.00 in Canada & Continental USA:
You will automatically receive Discounted Shipping.  The more you order the less you pay for shipping!  For example shipping for $75.00 will be less than shipping for a $20.00 order.

"Express or Courier" Shipping option available in Canada:
Most orders are shipped Expedited Canada Post.  If you need your order quicker we do offer Faster Shipping options such as shipping by a Courier, when you select "Express or Courier" shipping option.  These price options excludes rural areas, within certain areas of Canada.  If you live in a rural area, we would be happy to provide an Express shipping estimate over the phone or by email.

Please note:  depending on where you live, home delivery might not be available and you will need to pickup your order at the shippers nearest pickup location.

**Note:  In the event that shipping charges are considerably higher than the rate calculated at checkout, there might be additional charges. If additional shipping charges apply you will be contacted by phone or email with a quote before we fulfill and ship your order. (Ie: remote areas, large or heavier items). We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause. **

Oversized or heavy items: 

Oversized or heavy items are not eligible for free shipping and you will be contacted for payment of additional shipping charges..  

Shipping Address Accuracy:

Please ensure that your shipping address is complete and correct when placing your order. If your building requires a buzzer code, please include.  Once your order is submitted, you can also double check this on your Order Confirmation email.  If you notice an error please call us immediately (within 15 minutes of placing your order.)
Once you have received your order fulfillment email, we will not be able to make any changes as the item has been shipped. 

If you notify us by email we can not guarantee that it will be received/reviewed before your order is fulfilled.  We recommend you call us at 250.754.3933

Shipping Time

Once you place your order we strive prepare your order for shipment within 1-2 business days.  If there are any fulfillment delays more than 4 business days we will notify you.

Once your order is scheduled for shipment and assigned a tracking number, it will usually ship within the next 1-2 business days unless there are delays with our shipper picking up. You will receive an email with your shipping information. Please allow some time for your tracking status to be available/updated.

If you have not received your Shipping Confirmation email within 4 days of ordering , please email us at orders@pumpkinpiekids.com or call us at 250.754.3933 during our business hours.  

Orders shipped outside of Canada might experience delays due to Customs or by any other regulatory authority.

Duty & custom fees to shipments outside of Canada

Local taxes, duties and brokerage fees are not included in our prices or shipping costs.  These are the responsibility of the purchaser of the order.  Note: if the order is not shipped to the purchaser these fees are payable by the addressee (Ship to address).  

Order tracking

Please track your package and monitor for delivery date status or pickup location details. Some shipments might require a signature or will not automatically safe drop.

If you are not going to be home please contact the shipping company to arrange a safe delivery or pickup option. 

Attempted delivery notice:

If a signature is required or the driver does not feel the location is safe to drop off, a notice will be left.  If you don't see a notice, contact the shipper immediately.

Up to 2 delivery attempts can be made, after the 2nd attempt you will be required to pickup your parcel within the specified dates from their nearest depot, or pay an additional shipping fee for re-delivery. Note, the depot might not be in a convenient or close location.

Note:  Canada Post might not offer door delivery in your location, so please follow their instructions for pickup.

"Delivered" packages not received:

If your parcel states it has been "delivered" but you have not received it:

  • Check your mailbox, property and neighbours, Look for a notice card.
  • Check with everyone in your household.
  • Verify you provided us with the correct shipping address.
  • Check the carrier's* tracking page for a signature or delivery details.
  • Contact the carrier*, provide your tracking number, indicate your package states it was delivered, but you have not received it.
  • Wait 1-2 business days, to see if it gets delivered, also check your carrier's* tracking for any updates or pickup location.

If there is still no sign of your package after 2 business days, please contact us and we'll provide you with some assistance. We can submit a support ticket to investigate.

If the carrier has determined the item is lost, please contact us and we will apply for any eligible claims for your lost package. We insure most packages for up to a maximum of $100.00, unless it is shipped regular post.

There is a time limitation for submitting a claim, please contact us within 5 days, from the date of delivery as stated on the tracking,  to ensure the claim is submitted within the carrier's policies. Claims can take up to 30 days.

We are not responsible for delivered packages that have been stolen or have gone missing, please contact us and we will submit any applicable claims with the carrier.

*For International Canada Post shipments (outside Canada), please contact your country's postal service.  Entering your tracking number into your country's postal tracking will usually give you more up to date and detailed information about the delivery.

Items not successfully delivered & returned:

Returns due to Shipping Address Errors, Refused & Non-pickup:
Returns or items not successfully delivered due to refusal, failure to pickup, shipping address errors, moved, or incomplete address errors provided by the customer, any return or rerouting shipping costs will be charged to the customer.
If the shipment is returned, you will be contacted to have your order re-shipped and pay the both return and re-shipping fees. Free shipping is not eligible for reshipments.. If we do not reship your order, the return shipping charges charged to us by the shipper will be applied and deducted and the original shipping charge is non-refundable*.

*Orders shipped with free shipping, will no longer qualify for free shipping and will be charged all shipping charges, including the cost to ship out & return.

If the shipping charges exceed the value eligible for refund, then an invoice will be issued for payment.


In-store Pickup

In-store pickup is available at our store in Nanaimo, BC.  Please have photo ID available and order# at the store when picking up.  You can select to have someone else pick up the order by entering their name and phone number in the "Pickup Information" option during checkout.  Any changes to the pickup person after your order is placed, please email us.

When using in-store pickup:

  • Select in-store pickup option
  • Ensure that the shipping address is to our store and the billing address is the same as your billing address. 
  • Note: if you are using auto complete or accelerated checkout it might overwrite our store shipping address.  You will need to correct this by re-entering our store address.

We reserve the right to modify or cancel orders for any reason; you will be notified of any modifications or cancellations.

*Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Do you have discount codes for shipping?

Most of our shipping is already discounted so no matter if this is your first order or you are a regular shopper, you will always receive our best rate.  

**We do not offer discount codes for shipping, the codes you see at discount/code websites are FAKE and will not work.  Even though some might say they have been "used 300 times" what they fail to mention is that they were used without success. **
